Where do you photograph?
We photograph world wide. We have been done photography in over 18 countries and have over 10 years experience. In our local community we photograph Rocklin, Roseville, El Dorado Hills, Folsom, Lincoln, Loomis, La Porta, Lake Tahoe, Reno, Placerville, Apple Hill, Napa, Sonoma, Bear Valley, Arnold and Chico, San Francisco, Oakland. We are in the following locations a few times a year. Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, and Yosemite. We have shot multiple weddings in Yosemite national park and are familiar with the permitting process.
How long have you been a photographer?
Alex has been refining his knowledge of photography since 2007. Shannon has working with him and photographing professional events including weddings, baptisms, events, portraits and food with him since 2009.Do you have a actual studio?
Yes we have a real actual studio! We have a large indoor studio space that can comfortably facilitate you and your team during a commercial or marketing photoshoot. We love to have an audience while we create photography and we welcome you to sit in our studio during your photoshoot. Want to bring the whole team and have creative control? We can tether so you can see the photos as we shoot them. We try to create a fun confident environment where creativity photography can be made captured and clients can relax and enjoy the photographic process. You pick the music and watch the shoot as it happens. Our studio space in Rocklin is by appointment only.
Do you use flash?
We do use flash. So many photographers do natural light photography and so many do flash photography. We try to create a delicate blend of both. We understand our flashes and we understand how to direct them to get different lighting styles. Natural light photography is beautiful and we do a lot of that however if your shoot is by the water and you want to see the scene with blue skies you will want photographers that understand how capture all of that color. If you do not have the right gear all you will get is filtered images with white lakes and blown out skies. Being in California we are used to shooting in scenic destination locations such as lake Tahoe and numerous beaches. If we can't make you and the location look good we are not doing our job.
Do you use a second shooter?
We always have a second photographer. Unless we have a very unique situation we always have two photographers. We are very selective with who we let second shoot. Your second photographer should also be an amazing artist capturing your special day with creative freedom. We do not bring on unexperienced people just to carry bags and "spray and pray" We work with artists who we know and trust. Our second shooters have their own businesses and are local professionals in the area.

We love to teach what we know about photography to passionate individuals. We can teach you how to use your new camera so you can take amazing photographs at your children's soccer games. We have fun interactive lessons for you or your child. Instructional time can be spent teaching abstract special effects in photoshop or teaching the rules of photography that will make any photo better even those taken with a smart phone. We can also teach lighting and tricks to get the best photos possible from your smartphone.
Do you offer videography services also?
We have a trusted videographer that we love to work with. He has over 10 years experience and we absolutely love his work. We edit all the video and can add our video team to your wedding. So many times at weddings the videographer and the photographer don't work together. This causes everything to take double the time. We love having a full staff coving video and photo so we can work together to get the best videos and photos possible.
